About ITCA

Progressive and subsistence farmers today both face the challenges of producing food in a global marketplace. These markets are constantly changing and upgrading quality controls, competitiveness and quantity requirements demanded by consumers, supermarkets, fast food and catering industries.

The pace of new technologies becoming available from global research and developments at major research centres is resulting in a serious gap in applied commercial use of these technologies.

ITCA is committed to bridging this gap by establishing pilot commercial sites in the Philippines. The sites are becoming demonstration units to create rural wealth and offer solutions to poverty and malnutrition problems.

New applied technologies include the following range of subjects:-

  • Organic Crop Production
  • Nutrient and Irrigation Systems
  • Projected Cropping Methods (Plastic, Netting, Glass)
  • Pest Management Controls (IPM)
  • Natural Compost, Soil Regeneration Technology
  • Tissue Cultural and Genetically Selected High Yield Seed Varieties
  • Management Methods in Training Programs and Transfer of Technologies to Officials, Private Corporation Managers and Progressive Landowner/Farmers.
  • Cost Benefits (Profits) of Adopting New Technologies
